Quiz Bowl

Who should we have on the quiz bowl team this year? Having a team of seniors is logical as they have seen what goes on. I think we should have some nominations and a vote! There are four people plus an alternate to a team.

Susan, Mary, Matt, Liz, Alex could be a team?

Anyone else have any other suggestions?

We need to register by Oct. 17. Quiz Bowl info/rules: http://www.safnet.org/natcon-08/students/index.cfm

JOF Article: GPS

This month the Journal of Forestry had an article titled “Keeping Pace with Global Positioning System Technology in the Forest” by Michael Wing. The article had excellent information on collecting spatial field data. I would recommend reading this article for those that are interested in collecting spatial data with a GPS. The article also mentioned Trimble’s free software program that determines the most optimum times to go out in the field to collect data.
